Black Artists’ Networks In Dialogue Black Artist’ Networks in Dialogue (BAND) is dedicated to supporting, documenting and showcasing the artistic and cultural contributions of Black artists and cultural workers in Canada and internationally.
Nia Centre for the Arts We are a Toronto-based not-for-profit organization that supports, showcases and promotes an appreciation of arts from across the African Diaspora.
Obsidian Theatre Company Obsidian is Canada’s leading culturally specific theatre company. Our threefold mission is to produce plays, to develop playwrights and to train emerging theatre professionals. Obsidian is passionately dedicated to the exploration, development, and production of the Black voice. Obsidian produces plays from a world-wide canon focusing primarily, but not exclusively, on the works of highly acclaimed Black playwrights. Obsidian provides artistic support, promoting the development of work by Black theatre makers and offering training opportunities through mentoring and apprenticeship programs for emerging Black artists.

Afri-Can FoodBasket Afri-Can FoodBasket’s mission is to provide leadership in urban agriculture, and foster collaboration to advance food justice, health and social enterprise in the African Canadian Community.
Afro Canadian Contractors Association The Afro Canadian Contractors Association was founded in September 2020 with the primary goal of increasing the presence of black-owned contracting companies in the Canadian construction industry. Focused on the principle of TRUST, Talent-Respectable-Unified-Skilled-Trades, our association aims to provide industry stakeholders with a pool of experienced contractors for the execution of projects in both the residential and ICI sectors.
Black Business and Professional Association To advance Canada’s Black communities by delivering programs that support business and professional excellence, higher education and economic development.
Black Business Initiative The BBI is committed to growing a stronger Black presence in Nova Scotia’s business community; acting as a catalyst for job creation, equitable participation and advancing the economic prosperity of Nova Scotia. In 1996, the Government of Canada and the Province of Nova Scotia set up the BBI to address the unique needs confronting the Black business community in Nova Scotia.
The Black Canadian Coaches Association The Black Canadian Coaches Association is a non-profit organization seeking to connect, empower and advance racialized minorities in the Canadian sport sector. The BCCA has three objectives: celebration, advocacy through allyship, and networking.
Black Engineers of Canada We are creating a community of Canada's black engineers, engineering interns and professionals for networking, mentoring, training, opportunities and growth.
The Black Entrepreneurship Program The Black Entrepreneurship Program (BEP) is a partnership between the Government of Canada, Black-led business organizations, and financial institutions. With an investment of up to $350.8 million over four years, it will help Black Canadian business owners and entrepreneurs grow their businesses and succeed now and into the future.
The BlackNorth Initiative Committed to the removal of anti-Black systemic barriers negatively affecting the lives of Black Canadians. Led by The Canadian Council of Business Leaders Against Anti-Black Systemic Racism, The BlackNorth Initiative is on a mission to end anti-Black systemic racism throughout all aspects of our lives by utilizing a business first mindset.
The Black Opportunity Fund Established in 2020, The Black Opportunity Fund is a dynamic partnership between businesses, philanthropists, foundations, and the Black community to combat the impact of anti-black racism in Canada.
The Canadian Black Chamber of Commerce The Canadian Black Chamber of Commerce is a non-profit organization. It is the initiative of the National African Canadian Association (NACA), which was created to serve one of the five tenets of the NACA which is Commerce and Economic development within the Black diaspora.
The Federation of African Canadian Economics (FACE) The Federation of African Canadian Economics (FACE) is a coalition of Black-led organizations dedicated to stimulating economic growth and creating generational wealth for Canadians of African Descent. Empowering Black Canadians one loan at a time.
Pan-African Credit Union Pan-African Credit Union is an initiative to provide an alternate banking option, that better serves the Black community in the Greater Toronto Area, and eventually, across Canada.
Health & Wellness
Across Boundaries Dignified, inclusive and compassionate mental health and addiction services for racialized communities.
The Black Coalition for AIDS Prevention Black CAP works to create culturally relevant outreach, prevention and support services for people infected with, affected by, or at risk of contracting HIV.
Black Physicians' Association of Ontario We envision a province where Black Ontarians are equitably represented in the field of medicine and racialized health disparities are eliminated.
The Most Nurtured Community-based holistic wellness in Toronto (Canada) created by and for Black womxn to become the most nurtured versions of themselves.
TAIBU Community Health Centre (CHC) TAIBU Community Health Centre (CHC) is a multidisciplinary, non-for-profit, community led organization established to serve the Black Community across the Greater Toronto Area as its priority population. We are located in the Malvern neighbourhood of Scarborough in Ontario.
The Walnut Foundation The Walnut Foundation is a non-profit organization of like-minded individuals promoting health knowledge for Black men while encouraging the practice of good proactive health. We work with the Black community in identifying the needs of Black men in the areas of health and related issues to provide a forum for discussion in a safe and comfortable environment.
Women's Health In Women's Hands Community Health Centre Women's Health In Women's Hands is a Community Health Centre for racialized women living in Toronto and surrounding municipalities. Our primary health care team of highly skilled health care professionals specialize in the health and wellness needs of racialized women and prioritizes those from African, Caribbean, Latin American and South Asian communities. Our services are fully accessible and designed to address the barriers that prevent women from being in excellent health.

Black Legal Action Centre Black Legal Action Centre is a non-profit community legal clinic that provides free legal services for low- or no-income Black residents of Ontario.
Canadian Association of Black Lawyers CABL’s continuing goal is to bring together law professionals and other interested members of the community from across Canada to cultivate and maintain The Association of Black professionals in Canada.
Social Services
African Canadian Civic Engagement Council Our mission is to preserve the best interest and address the needs of African Canadians most affected by the perpetuation of poverty, civic apathy, structural, and systemic inequity. We achieve this by promoting quality of life and augmenting opportunities through collective activities that align with Canada’s legislative framework and The Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
Africa Centre WE are the largest pan African organization in western Canada that serves as a community hub, providing quality programming and access to services from a place of cultural awareness and competency to the families in our diverse community.
The Black Liberation Collective The Black Liberation Collective is a collective consisting of Black students who are dedicated to transforming institutions of higher education through unity, coalition building, direct action and political education.
Black Lives Matter – Canada We are a platform upon which Black communities across Canada can actively dismantle all forms of anti-Black racism, liberate Blackness, support Black healing, affirm Black existence, and create freedom to love and self-determine. We work to forge critical connections and to work in solidarity with Black communities, Black-centric networks, solidarity movements, and allies in order to to dismantle all forms of state-sanctioned oppression, violence, and brutality committed against all Black communities, including African, Caribbean, Afro-Indigenous, migrant, queer, trans, and disabled Black communities.
Black Space Winnipeg Founded by members of Winnipeg’s Black community, Black Space Winnipeg is a grassroots, organization that fosters organic dialogue on everyday experiences of being Black. Spreading perspectives of Afrocentrism, and Pro-Black conversation, Black Space Winnipeg creates safe spaces for people of colour through hosting community events, artist demonstrations and workshops. Black Space Winnipeg challenges anti-Black racism and discrimination, building inclusivity across all sectors in Winnipeg for Black people.
Caribbean African Canadian Social Services CAFCAN provides culturally appropriate social services that enrich the lives of the African, Caribbean and Diaspora (ACD) communities in the Greater Toronto Area.
Federation of Black Canadians The Federation of Black Canadians is a national, non-profit organization, driven by organizations across the country that advances the social, economic, political and cultural interests of Canadians of African descent.
The Jamaican Canadian Association The mission of The Jamaican Canadian Association (JCA) is to deliver programs and services, provides a physical hub, and to advocate to improve the well‐being and equity of Jamaican, Caribbean & African‐Canadian communities within the Greater Toronto Area.

Ontario Black History Society (OBHS) Founded in 1978, the Ontario Black History Society (OBHS), is the organization in Canada that is at the forefront in the celebration of Black history and heritage with a demonstrated record in the study, preservation and promotion of Black history in Ontario. The OBHS is also the only Ontario Provincial Heritage Organization of the Ministry of Culture devoted to Black history and heritage.

Tropicana Community Services Tropicana Community Services, a Toronto-based multi-service organization, provides all youth, newcomers, people of Black and Caribbean heritage and others in need with opportunities and alternatives that lead to success and positive life choices. Our mission is achieved through culturally appropriate programs such as counselling, child care, educational and employment services and youth development.

Black Women in Motion Black Women in Motion is a Toronto-based, youth-led organization that empowers and supports the advancement of black womxn and survivors of sexual violence.
Black Youth Helpline Black Youth Helpline serves all youth and specifically responds to the need for a Black youth specific service, positioned and resourced to promote access to professional, culturally appropriate support for youth, families and schools.
The Careers Education Empowerment (CEE) Centre For Young Black Professionals The CEE Centre For Young Black Professionals is a charity dedicated to addressing economic and social barriers affecting black youth (18-29 years).
The Come Up - Youth Empowerment Initiative As a subset of our greater organization, the Africa Centre, we share core values and principles and presents itself as a hub of African and Caribbean youth of our greater communities.
Freedom School - Toronto Freedom School - Toronto is a youth and parent driven initiative that intervenes to fight against anti-Black racism in the school system and to creative educational alternatives for Black children.
Harriet Tubman Community Organization As a non-profit agency Harriet Tubman Community Organization is dedicated to building meaningful and developmental relationships with young people, experiencing racialization between the ages of ages of 8 – 25 years old. Using Harriet Tubman’s collaborative model, we partner with diverse institutions, organizations, community groups and individual allies to establish a ‘railroad’ network of resource to keep Black (African) young people and others who relate engaged in positive activities. We provide strength-based, youth centered and culturally relevant programs that foster identity development, life skills and education.
